The Biomimetic Six Legged All Terrain Vehicle

This 6X6 is inspired by insects such as the cockroach, in which legs are used instead of wheels for walking. The idea of such a device had been around since the Hoth scene in Empire Strikes Back, but to see one in action (even through the magic of YouTube) is rather exciting.

As many videos show, it doesn't even require the tow-cable of a Snowspeeder to become tangled up and topple. Compared to a wheeled warrior, its design is said to use less energy, be cleaner for the environment, and be more maneuverable. It was gravity that killed this bad boy before it even reached the prototype stage.
